Cacao Ceremony for Healing,
Presence & Connection

What is a Cacao Ceremony?

A cacao ceremony is a sacred, heart-opening ritual that uses ceremonial-grade cacao to support emotional healing, inner connection, and spiritual growth. Rooted in Indigenous traditions of Central and South America, cacao has long been honored as a plant medicine and gentle teacher. Unlike entheogens, cacao is an empathogen, meaning it softly opens the heart, enhances mindfulness, and fosters a deeper sense of presence and connection. During a cacao ceremony, participants drink a warm, bitter-sweet cacao beverage prepared with intention and gratitude. The ritual often includes meditation, breathwork, movement, sound, and sharing circles, creating a safe and supportive space for personal reflection and collective healing. The three universal pillars — gratitude, intention, and reciprocity — guide the experience, turning cacao from a drink into a transformative ceremony. People attend cacao ceremonies for many reasons: to release stuck emotions, awaken creativity, find clarity, connect with community, or simply slow down and reconnect with themselves. The effects of ceremonial cacao are often described as grounding, heart-opening, and deeply nourishing. We offers both online cacao ceremonies (including New Moon rituals) and in-person cacao ceremonies in Basel, Switzerland. Each gathering is unique, lovingly held, and designed to help you embody presence, compassion, and joy.
